The Aquaculture Study Program at the Faculty of Agriculture was established due to the importance of freshwater aquaculture as a new source of economic growth in the future. The rapid development of the fish farming industry will require human resources with knowledge and skills in aquaculture. To meet this challenge, the Aquaculture Study Program feels the need to prepare its graduates through a dynamic curriculum, so that graduates from the Aquaculture Study Program are expected to have the knowledge, skills, and leadership to compete and participate in various sectors related to service activities, research, consulting/extension, production, and conservation.
“The curriculum is a comprehensive design of student learning activities that serves as a guideline for study programs in planning, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating all activities to achieve the program’s objectives. Referring to the Minister of National Education Decree No. 232/U/2000 on Students, the higher education curriculum is a set of plans and arrangements regarding the content and study materials, as well as the delivery and assessment methods used as guidelines for conducting teaching and learning activities in higher education institutions.”
